Abdul Rafay Amir

Abdul Rafay Amir is a designer-engineer from Sindh, Pakistan. He is the founder of RafayGen AI, and — as of today — its only engineer.

He came to software from design. UI/UX, then graphic and print work for agencies, then four years of it inside a public-sector housing recovery programme, where he also ran the YouTube channel. Design is still how he starts: the interface first, then whatever has to exist underneath to make the interface honest.

RafayGen began as the thing he could not buy. Most AI products assume an international credit card, an English keyboard, and a user who treats Urdu as a translation target rather than a language they think in. He wanted one that assumed the opposite, so he wrote it — the routing engine, the agent runtime, the voice orb, the pipeline that turns an answer into a real downloadable file, and an OCR system he originally built to digitise Urdu books.

It runs on machines he administers himself, down to his own nameservers. When something breaks at three in the morning, there is nobody else to page.
